Overview

 

The Water Treatment Technician performs mechanical installations and technical work on Waste Water Equipment, Pressure Washers, Parts Washers, Evaporators, Bio-Systems, Air Compressors, Car-Wash Equipment and Custom Fluid Movement Systems for Chappell Supply and Equipment, (the “Company”).  Must work well both independently and as part of a team.  Have the ability to work well with contractors, subcontractors, and job-site supervisors.

 

Responsibilities

  • The Technician must work to gain experience and knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment used in the installation and repair of all specialized equipment sold by the Company. 
  • The Technician will be required to submit to the Water Treatment Manager on a timely basis, all necessary records for job cost allocation making sure all reports submitted are complete and accurate.
  • Must be able to pass a pulmonary fit test (respirator) immediately.
  • Help maintain a system of internal controls and operating procedures that will protect assets from theft, loss or unnecessary depreciation.
  • This position will promote the standards for integrity, ethics, and job performance of the Company and maintain superior customer satisfaction.
  • At various times, the Technician will be required to work before and after normal business hours to attend various employee meetings and training sessions.
  • Overnight, multi-night and some weekend travel will be necessary.
  • Maintain procedures and processes in order to ensure compliance with Company’s quality standards.

 

Qualifications

  • Have general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tradeworks.
  • Must be able to interpret/learn to interpret MEP drawings and/or blueprints efficiently and accurately.  
  • Have a stable work history.
  • Be able to diagnose mechanical defects and comprehend technical verbal and written communications.  
  • Experience in HVAC or plumbing preferred.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
